For the fourth year, Canadian Forces Personnel and Family Support Services (CFPFSS) celebrates

June is Recreation Month

Recreation plays an important role in the Canadian Forces both operationally and in family support. JRM provides an opportunity to celebrate these roles and educate the community about the importance of participating in recreation and leisure activities.

This year’s theme, “The Sky's the Limit”, was chosen to promote and celebrate:

  1. The vast programs and services currently offered through PSP and other DGPFSS divisions that enhance recreation and leisure experiences. Learn more about opportunities in your community at Community Gateway.
  2. The military personnel’s own imagination and leadership in developing the CF recreation program (see CFAO 50-2) and how PSP supports this. Learn more about the ways to start your own recreation club by downloading our starter guide.
  3. The inclusive nature of recreation: participation is possible no matter ability. Learn more about inclusive recreation at Solider On and at the PSP Reconditioning Program.

From the largest bases to the smallest wing, PSP recreation departments around the country are united in their mission to improve health and well being, contributing to operational success, provide safe and enjoyable recreation opportunities, and provide the CF community with a higher quality of living. PSP is holding an exciting contest that will engage the whole family in recreation. One lucky winner will win a family experience in a hot air balloon.  Learn more about the prize package and enter to win.
